Ira D. Hudgins. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park. Vinson died Friday in a hospital. A native of Murfreesboro, N.C., he was the husband of Jean Drake Vinson. He was a retired machinist of Union Camp Corp. and was a member of Franklin Baptist Church. He was Navy Veteran of World War II. Other survivors include a daughter, Barbara V. Bradshaw of Suffolk; a son, J. Wilson Vinson of Mechanicsville; two sisters, Essie V. Edwards of Franklin and Eva V. Greene of Virginia Beach; a brother, Claude R. Vinson of Franklin and three grandchildren.
