All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ RALPH SEWELL WEBB Ralph Sewell Webb, Sr., 58, a resident of Franklin for the past 10 years, died suddenly Wednesday morning, July 9, at his home on the South Quay Road. He had suffered from a heart condition for several years. The deceased was the husband of Mrs. Laura Todd Webb. He was born in Moreland, Ga., the son of the late Reuben V. and Gertrude Sewell Webb. A veteran of World War I, he was a member of the Franklin Presbyterian Church. Since coming to Franklin he had been employed as an electrician by Camp Manufacturing Co., retiring on June 1. Besides his wife, he is survived by three daughters, Misses Dorothy and Lucille Webb, both of Franklin, and Mrs. G.A. Pierce of St. Johns, Newfoundland; three sons, Ralph S. Webb, Jr., of Raleigh, N.C., James H. Webb, A-2c, Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Tex., and R. Carlyle Webb of Franklin; two grandchildren; one brother, R.V. Webb of Miami, Fla.; and two sisters, Mrs. Fred I. West of Goldsboro, N.C., and Mrs. Jamie Hindsman of Moreland, Ga. Funeral services for Mr. Webb will be held this (Friday) afternoon at 4:30 o’clock in the chapel of W.J.M. Holland & Sons, with Rev. T.T. Traynham, pastor of the Franklin Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Ralph Sewell WEBB, Sr., retired Camp Manufacturing electrician, Army veteran of WW-I, b.
