All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LIZZIE CARRIE JUDE DOYLE WEST Mrs. Carrie Doyle West, aged 47, daughter of the late Zackery Doyle and Mrs. Laura Doyle Bradshaw, died Sunday, May 3, at her home in the Black Creek community. She is survived by her husband, Geo. Allen West; three children, Howard, Ruby and Jessie West; her mother, Mrs. Laura Bradshaw; one sister, Mrs. Mary Holt and six half-sisters and one half-brother. In early childhood she joined Black Creek Baptist Church. Funeral services for Mrs. West were held at Black Creek Baptist Church Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. J.T. Garland Moore, Rev. R.E. Vellines and Rev. Floyd P. Davis, interment being made in the church cemetery. The choir sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere" and "Sometime We’ll Understand." Mrs. Leland Beale sang as a solo "The Old Rugged Cross." Active pallbearers were P.M. Raiford, M.C. Holt, M.H. Lowe, C.C. Edwards, A.E. Drewry, E.P. Lowe and E.M. West.
