MUSA KANE BRITT GRIFFIN WEST 

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Mrs. Musa Britt West, 70, was held 
Tuesday at 3 p.m. in Wright Funeral Home by the Revs. Willis H. Switzer 
and R.E. Brittle.  Burial was in Griffin Family cemetery.

   Pallbearers were: Drew Parr, Judson West, Keith Britt, Darrell Britt, 
Gary Britt, Bennie Britt.

   Mrs. West died Sunday in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   A native of Jackson, N.C., she was the wife of Gilmer R. West.  She 
was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church.

   Other survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Anna Thacker of Smithfield, 
Mrs. Jean Newsome of Franklin, and Mrs. Carolyn Epps of Wakefield; two sons, 
Ronald West of Franklin and William F. Griffin of Richmond; a sister, Mrs. 
Olga B. Taylor of Haldon, N.J.; a brother, Wayland Britt of Alton, Ill.; and 
13 grandchildren.
