Edwin Person Westbrook Jr.,65, of Shands Drive, Courtland, died Wednesday in Southampton Memorial Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Courtland and the husband of Mrs. Ethel M. Westbrook. He was alumni of Randolph-Macon College and was retired from Hancock Peanut Co. He was a member of the Courtland United Methodist Church. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Mrs. Jeanne W. Pope of Drewryville and Mrs. Peggy W. Shank of Reston, Va.; one son, James E. Westbrook, of Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Smith of Delano, Tenn., Mrs. Eunice W. Jones and Mrs. Clare P. Councill, both of Franklin; eight grand-children. A funeral service will be held at the graveside Friday at 11 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland by the Rev. Richard McNutt. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin is in charge of arrangements. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Courtland United Methodist Church. ****************************************************************************** EDWIN PERSON WESTBROOK JR. COURTLAND - A funeral service for Edwin Person Westbrook Jr., 65, was held Friday, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery by the Rev. Richard McNutt. Wright Funeral Home had charge. Pallbearers were: Martin Cobb, Harvey McLemore, Ben Williams Jr., Warren Councill, Parker Councill, Benn Williams III, and Monroe Joyner. Westbrook died Wednesday, Jan. 13 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A lifelong resident of Courtland, he was the husband of Ethel M. Westbrook. He was an alumni of Randolph-Macon College and a retired Hancock Peanut Company employee. He was a member of Courtland United Methodist Church. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jeanne W. Pope of Drewryville and Peggy W. Shank of Reston, Va.; a son James E. Westbrook of Richmond; three sisters, Mrs. Mary E. Smith of Delano, Tenn., Mrs. Eunice W. Jones and Mrs. Clare P.
