MARTIN L. WESTBROOK A very sad death occurred in this community on Monday, January 28th, when Mr. Martin L. Westbrook succumbed to a lingering illness. He was brought home the day before from Lakeview Hospital, Suffolk, where he had been under treatment for several weeks. He leaves a wife, formerly Miss Grace Garland Beeks of Portsmouth, and two little daughters, Marjorie and Grace Shelton. He is also survived by his father, Mr. J.E. Westbrook, of Drewryville, three brothers, Blunt Westbrook of Portsmouth, H.L. Westbrook of Franklin, and E.P. Westbrook of Courtland, and four sisters, Mrs. W.R.L. Cobb and Mrs. O.M. Joyner of Courtland, and Mrs. E.E. Duncan and Mrs. S.P. Johnson of Drewryville. The deceased was buried in the cemetery at Drewryville, Tuesday, January 29, at 12:30 o’clock.
