He was Chief Orthopedic Surgeon, Lynchburg Training School. He was born in Courtland, Va. Survived by his wife, Mrs. Mell [sic; Nell] Jackson Westbrook; one son, William Hugh Westbrook, III, of Orangeburg, S.C.; one brother, John Westbrook, Newport News, Va.; one sister Mrs. Dorothy E. Elliott, of Hampton-Sydney, Va. Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 P.M. at Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, Va., by Dr. Jerry Falwell. ****************************************************************************** DR. WILLIAM HUGH LATIMER WESTBROOK, JR. LYNCHBURG - A graveside funeral service for Dr. William Hugh Latimer Westbrook, Jr., 63, of 114 Middleboro Pace, Lynchburg, was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, by Dr. Jerry Falwell. Diugius's Funeral Home, Lynchburg, had charge of the services. A native of Courtland, he was the husband of Mrs. Nell Jackson Westbrook and a son of William H. and Mrs. Bessie Turner Westbrook. He was chief of services at Lynchburg Training School and Hospital and a retired Col. in the Army. Besides his wife he is survived by one son William H. Westbrook III of Orangeburg, S.C.; one sister, Mrs. Dorothy W. Elliott of Hampden-Sydney; one brother, John D. Westbrook of Newport News and two grandchildren.
