Washington NORFOLK - Matthew Turner Washington, 77, of 329 E. Little Creek Road, the husband of Mrs. Grace Johnson Washington, died Friday at 2 p.m. in a hospital. He was a native of Capron and lived in this area for 38 years. He was a retired metalsmith of Norfolk Naval Air Station and a member of Capron Baptist Church. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Grace Easom of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Dorothy Aldrich of Williamsburg; three sons, John W. Washington of Miami, James H. Washington of Sanford, N.C., and Alvin F. Washington of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Baugham of Waverly and Mrs. Ruby Ollice of Portsmouth; four brothers, W. Thomas Washington of Suffolk, Joseph Washington of Boykins, James Washington of Norfolk, and Augustine Washington of Jacksonville, N.C.; 14 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. in Capron Cemetery with Hollomon- Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, in charge. ****************************************************************************** MATTHEW TURNER WASHINGTON Norfolk - Funeral services for Matthew Turner Washington, 77, were held Sunday in Capron Cemetery with Holloman-Brown Funeral Home in charge. He was the husband of Mrs. Grace Johnson Washington and a native of Capron. He lived in the area for 38 years.
