Mrs. Whisenant, a native of Burke County, N.C., was the widow of George Troy* Whisenant. She was a member of Ivor Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters, Bessie Copeland of Windsor, Sue Archer of Disputanta, and Margie Reason of Colonial Heights; six sons, Robert Whisenant, Ralph Whisenant and Conley Whisenant, all of Ivor, Levi Whisenant and Russell Whisenant, both of Morganton, N.C., and Willis Whisenant of Colonial Heights; a sister, Leola M. Whisenant of Morganton; two brothers, Russell Mull and Roy Mull, both of Morganton; 33 grandchildren; and 25 great- grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Sunday in Purviance Funeral Chapel, Wakefield, by the Rev. Irvin Acree. Burial was in Ivor Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Ivor Rescue Squad, Ivor, 23866.
