White, 59, died suddenly Wednesday night at his home in Boykins. He was the son of the late Henry D. and Rosa White of Southampton County. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Mamie Pruden White; two daughters, Miss Virginia White, and Mrs. J.J. Britt, Jr., both of Boykins; four sisters, Mrs. Katie Glover of Boykins, Mrs. Maggie Hill of Goldsboro, N.C., Mrs. Ben Garris of Chase City and Mrs. Mary Britt of Carrsville. Services were conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock by the Rev. E.B. Loving of Boykins Methodist Church, assisted by the Rev. Frank B. Handley of Boykins Baptist Church. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins, with the following pallbearers; Hugh Powell, Dr. J.M. Bland, W.R. Emmons, Tom Porter, J.W. Holland, Dayton Edwards, W.F. McKinstry and John M. Britt.
