Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins of Franklin Baptist Church the Rev. Thomas Mabe of Sycamore Baptist Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were A.J. Smith, Edwin Beale, Bobby Wade, Donnie Wade, J.V. Wade, James Wagenback, Edward King and Cotton Cobb. Wade, 65, a retired watchmaker and retired municipal employee, died Wednesday morning in a hospital after a heart attack. A native of Northampton County, he was the husband of Mrs. Ruth Cobb Wade and a son of Richard and Mrs. Mary Lassiter Wade. He lived in Franklin 43 years and was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and Masonic Lodge 151. Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Ruth Wade Tollefsbol of Houston, Tex., and Mrs. Mary Alice Wade Cotton of Franklin; two brothers, Willie L. Wade and John Wade of Lasker, N.C.; and 10 grandchildren.
