T. J. WADE Mrs. Elizabeth Jane Wade, wife of T. J. Wade of the Capron community, died at her home February 24, in her 71st year after a lingering illness. Her life as wife and mother was exemplary and filled with kindness and devotion to members of her household, her especial care and thoughtfulness for an invalid husband characterizing that unselfish service which crowned a gracious life. She was a consistent member of the Capron Baptist Church and of the Ladies Aid Society. Burial was made in the Capron Cemetery Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock, services being conducted at the grave by her Pastor, Rev. A.W. Coates, and Rev. R.H. Marks of the Capron M.E. Church. Rev. A.W. Coates, Mrs. L.W. McGrath, Mrs. Leonard Magee and Miss Lee Kelley sang, "He Leadeth Me," and "Going Down The Valley One by One." The active pallbearers were: W.H. Story, Hugh Grizzard, W.C. Nurney, Robert Baugham, Herbert Johnson and F.L. Edwards. Mrs. Wade is survived by her husband; two sons, J.N. Wade of Capron and J.H. Wade of Courtland; one daughter, Mrs. J.P. Cox of Boykins; one brother, W.E. Washington of Capron; one sister, Mrs. Delia Turner of Capron, and three grandchildren. Elizabeth Jane "Bettie" (WASHINGTON; Mrs. Theophilus J.)
