He was a retired postal employee, a member of Bethel Friends Meeting, and a member of the Hunterdale Ruritan Club. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Alice Winston White; two daughters, Mrs. Sadie W. Taylor of Kent, Ohio, and Mrs. Julia W. Reynolds of Auburn, Calif.; a son, E. Newby White Jr. of Franklin; a sister, Miss Mary Ricks White; three brothers, Isaac C. White and Thomas P. White, both of Franklin, and Edward F. White of Richmond; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The body was donated to medical research. Plans for a memorial service are incomplete.
