The deceased was a daughter of the late W.H.H. Winston and Nancy Powell Moorman Winston of Amherst County. A member of Bethel Friends Meeting, she had made her home in the Franklin community for the past 47 years. She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Nancy White Melvin of Franklin. Funeral services for Mrs. White were conducted at 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the graveside in Poplar Spring Cemetery by James A. Coney. The active pallbearers were Godwin Kitchen, Reginald Lankford, Dr. T.A. Morgan, Robert A. Vaughan, Exum N. White, Isaac White, Thomas P. White and William T. Woodley.
