All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ MAMIE PRUDEN WHITE Boykins - A funeral service for Mrs. Mamie Pruden White was conducted at 3:30 Sunday in Boykins Baptist Church by the Reverends Daniel Ivey and James Campbell. Burial was in Beechwood Cemetery. McDowell Funeral Home was in charge. Mrs. White, 89, the widow of Ashbel M. White, died Saturday in her home. Pallbearers were Herman McCoy, Wilson Barnes, Howard Barrett, Malcolm Coleman, W. Hugh Powell, Jr., Victor Grizzard, W.R. Emmons and Hunter H. Ford, Jr. A native of Northampton County, N.C., she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mrs. Rosa Stephenson Pruden. She was a member of Boykins Baptist Church. Surviving are two daughters Mrs. Virginia W. Daniels and Mrs. Olivia W. Britt of Boykins; two sisters, Mrs. W.L. Clayton of Richmond and Mrs. J.R. Foster of Seaboard, N.C.; a brother, J.R.
