White of this community, died last Friday afternoon at Raiford Memorial Hospital, after an illness of a few weeks, her health having been poor for some time. She was the daughter of the late Isaac and Mrs. Absilla Cox of Wayne County, N.C., and had lived most of her life in Franklin, a highly esteemed and exemplary Christian character. She was a consistent member of Bethel Friends Meetings. She is survived by four sons, Isaac C., Exum N. and Thomas P. White, Jr. of Franklin and Edward F. White of Richmond; one daughter, Miss Mary Ricks White, and eight grandchildren. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock from Bethel Friends Meetings House, conducted by Rev. James R. Stein, burial following in the family plot in Poplar Spring Cemetery here. The pallbearers were: John C. Bradshaw, Jeptha Bradshaw, M.B. Blythe, Randolph Griffin, R.J. Councill, T.J. Cox, James C. Drake, Floyd Beale.
