LUCY WHITFIELD'S DEATH. - Mrs. Lucy Whitfield, a greatly beloved lady for her many attractive qualities, expired at 11:15 o'clock Sunday night in her pretty suburban residence, just north of the county bridge, aged 70 years. She had been an invalid for several months, death resulting from general exhaustion. The deceased leaves three children, Mrs. Pattie Allmond and Mr. Thomas J. Whitfield, of Suffolk, and Mrs. James Cutchin, of Southampton county. She was also the mother of the late Davis and Charles Whitfield, two bright young attorneys of Suffolk. The funeral will take place at 8 o'clock this morning, immediately after which the remains will be taken to Southampton county, near Deleware [sic; Delaware], for burial. ****************************************************************************** SUFFOLK LOCAL.
