Whitfield of Berlin, this county, died in the Blackstone Convalescent Home on Wednesday, November 19, after a long illness. A lifelong member of Millfield Baptist Church, she was a daughter of the late Watkins and Mrs. Amada Whitehead Stephenson of Southampton County. Surviving are a son, John Herman, one grandchild, Kay; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted on Friday at 11:30 a.m. at Millfield Baptist Church by Richard Stephenson of [...*] Church, assisted by Rev. J.S. Orrelly. Buried was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were L.H. Babb, Burrell Boothe, Raby Cornwell, Roy Cornwell, Garland Davis, Henry Felts, Edgar Vick Stephenson and B.P. Taylor. Myra W. (STEPHENSON; Mrs. William K.)
