Whitehead of Franklin. He leaves to mourn their loss a widow and three sons, H.L. Whitehead of Courtland, J.E. Whitehead of Franklin and R.L. Whitehead of Emporia; two sisters, Miss Margaret Whitehead and Mrs. Mary Bryant, both of Courtland community; two brothers, John Whitehead of Courtland and Jesse Whitehead of Emporia, besides a number of grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Interment took place in the family burying ground, where many of his friends gathered to pay their last tribute of love and respect, and extend their deepest sympathy to the bereaved family. The burial services were conducted by Rev. J.E. Brooks of Courtland.
