She was the widow of Ira Goode Whitehead and a daughter of Richard Benjamin Davis and Mrs. Lucy Saunders Davis of Southampton County. A native of Southampton County, she was a member of Sebrell Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, Willie N. Whitehead of Sebrell and Leslie D. Whitehead of Courtland: three daughters, Mrs. Theodore Smith and Mrs. Alfred Green of Norfolk and Mrs. Robert Barnes of Courtland; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Paul A. Davis of Courtland. A funeral service will be held in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home, Franklin, today at 2 p.m. by the Rev. E. Stephen Babcock of Sebrell Methodist Church.
