WHITEHEAD COURTLAND - Ryland Allen Whitehead, 62, died Friday in a Richmond hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was a son of Jordan Walter, and Mrs. Bettie Rowe Whitehead. He was a member of Sebrell Methodist Church and a veteran of World War II. He is survived by four brothers, H.B. Whithead, H.E. Whitehead, H.R. Whitehead and G.B. Whitehead of Courtland; and four sisters, Mrs. Evelyn Whitehead, Mrs. Mildred Cole, and Mrs. Doris Applewhite of Courtland and Miss Elizabeth Whitehead of Norfolk. A funeral service will be held today at 2:30 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in Franklin.
