A native of Southampton County, she was a daughter of George H. and Mrs. Mary Whitehead. She was a member of Franklin Methodist Church. Besides Mrs. Norfleet, she is survived by another sister, Mrs. Alva Lois Whitehead of Emporia. A funeral service was held Monday at 11 a.m. in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland, by the Rev. Edwin C. Thornton Jr. of Beaver Dam Baptist Church, W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home was in charge. Pallbearers were Dick Clements, Bradford Whitehead, W.H. Whitehead, W.L. Whitehead, L.V. Whitehead and Alvin Whitehead.
