Whitley had the misfortune to lose by death their little 13 months old son, Charlie Lee, Sunday, June 20, 1920, after a brief illness. He was a bright and interesting child and is sadly missed by his loving and sorrowing parents, brothers and sisters. The little body was laid to rest in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Monday afternoon, June 21. Burial services by Rev. J.A. Chapman of the Methodist Church.
