Harry W. Backhus, III, and the Rev. C.P. Cleveland of Newsoms. He is survived by his wife, Louise Coggin Whitley, and one son, Frank Harry Whitley, 3rd, of Richmond; his mother and father, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harry* Whitley, of Franklin; four sisters, Mrs. Susie Guyton of Franklin, Mrs. C.L. Rountree* of Suffolk, Mrs. L.M. Britton of Handsom and Mrs. C.M. Floyd of Sunbeam; two brothers, Woodrow Whitley of Franklin and Bertelle Whitley of Fort Wayne, Ind. Pallbearers were employees of the Norfolk & Southern Bus Line, H.C. McKenny, J.A. Dyson, Raymond Hayes, J.E. Addinbrook, J.J. Sawyer and Ryland Baines. Interment was made in Poplar Spring Cemetery here.
