Holland and Sons Funeral Home for Mrs. Felicia O'Berry Whitley, a native of Southampton County. Rev. Robert E. Abbott of Mt. Horeb Church and Rev. Allen W. Lawrence of Newsoms Baptist Church conducted the service, followed by burial in Mt. Horeb Cemetery. Pallbearers were R.E. Drake, Jr., D.C. Blythe, Jimmy Walker, W. Tall Jones, Dr. Henry H. Gardner Jr., Karl Scott, J.C. Johnson and Joe Spence. Mrs. Whitley died early Tuesday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Louise Floyd, after a long illness. She was the widow of Frank C. Whitley and a daughter of William Henry and Mrs. Louise Glover O'Berry. Surviving besides Mrs. Floyd are three other daughter, Mrs. Annie Rountree of Suffolk, Mrs. Lizzie Britton of Handsom, and Mrs. Susie Guyton of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. Carrie Ward of Portsmouth and Mrs. Louise Glover of Franklin; two sons, Woodrow and Burtell Whitley of Franklin; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
