of the estate of Frank C. Whitley, deceased.  All persons who are indebted to 
said estate are requested to pay the same to me, and those holding claims 
against the said estate are requested to present the same in verified form to

IN MEMORIAM 

  In loving memory of our husband and father, Frank Calvin Whitley, who 
departed this life one year ago today, January 10, 1947. 

  One year ago today, dear Papa, 
We sat beside your bed; 
And watched you slowly pass away 
To that beautiful land above. 

  The blow was hard, the shock severe, 
We never though that death was near; 
But only those who've lost can tell 
The pain of parting without farewell. 

  We prayed for God to save you, 
But our prayers were all in vain. 
For God knew your suffering and took you 
From this world of sadness and pain. 

  The beautiful memories of you are still near, 
For we loved you in life, as you knew; 
And to them we'll ever be true, 
For you were always so kind and so dear. 
    His loving wife and children.
