WHITLEY PORTSMOUTH - Funeral services for Nell H. Whitley, 65, was held today, Thursday at 2 p.m. in Snelling Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel by the Rev. Kenneth E. King. Burial was in Olive Branch cemetery. The wife of Curtis E. Whitley and a native of Franklin died Tuesday morning in a hospital. She lived in this area for most of her life and was a member of Port Norfolk Baptist Church. Other survivors include a son, Frank Whitley of Portsmouth; three sisters, Gracie Woltz of Newport News, Florence Kirkland of Capron, and Inez Matheny of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.
