R.E. Brittle. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park with W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were Dr. Robert Edwards, Tall Jones, D.C. Blythe, Lee Davis, William Blair and Vernon Scott. Whitley, 49, died early Sunday in his home. A native of Southampton County, he was a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was the husband of Mrs. Mary Osterman Whitley and a son of the late Frank and Mrs. Felicia O'Berry Whitley. He was a foreman for E.V. Williams Co., contractor. Besides his widow, surviving are a daughter, Miss Marlene Whitley, both of Franklin; a brother, Bertelle Whitley of Walters; four sisters, Mrs. W.M. Guyton Jr. of Franklin, Mrs. Lizzie Britton of Handsom, Mrs. Charles Floyd and Mrs. Annie Rountree of Suffolk. Woodrow Wilson WHITLEY - foreman for E.V.
