JAMES LEMUEL WOODARD

After an illness of three weeks, Mr. J.L. Woodard died at his home in 
Branchville on Wednesday Aug. 29th, age 36.

Mr. Woodard was connected with the firm of Woodard and Sykes of Branchville 
and was known generally as a man of sterling qualities.  His name was clean, 
his acts upright, and all who knew him could testify, "That he had been with 
Christ and learned of him."

He was devoted to his church, a steward and active in Sunday school with 
enthusiastic zeal for all good works.

His church will miss him, we shall miss him, but the memory of this Christian 
gentlemen, will long linger with us.

He leaves a widow and two children a boy and girl, to mourn his loss.

To them we extend sincere sympathy and commend them to God whom the husband 
and father trusted.
