A funeral service for Police Sgt. Floyd Wallace Wall will be conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland & Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Ira D. Hudgins and the Rev. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edgar Blythe, Braxton Holcomb, Freeman Harrell, James Surace, Woody Faison, Harold Atkinson, Edwin Beale and Louis Kannon. Wall, 45, died Tuesday morning in Southampton Memorial Hospital after a heart attack suffered two weeks ago. He was on the Franklin police force 14 years. A native of Franklin, he was the husband of Mrs. Mary King Wall and a son of Mrs. Eula Dunning Wall and the late Floyd Wallace Wall. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and its Bruner Bible Class. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Besides his widow and mother, surviving are two daughters, Miss Mary Joan Wall and Miss Flora Gail Wall, a son Floyd Robert Wall, and a brother Claudia Wall, all of Franklin; and a sister, Mrs. George Wade Williams of Joyners.
