TOWNSEND BUTLER WILBER FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Frances V. Townsend Wilber, 55, was held at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Otis Zirkle. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Mrs. Wilber died Sunday in her home. A native of New Bern, Tenn., she was the wife of Dr. Joe C. Wilber. She was a retired art teacher of Wingate College in North Carolina and a member of Holy Communion Lutheran Church, Portsmouth. She was a graduate of Memphis State University and a member of Franklin Woman’s Club and the Franklin Chapter of Order of the Eastern Star. Other survivors include her mother, Sadie Parks Townsend of Memphis, Tenn. Frances V. (TOWNSEND BUTLER; Mrs. Joe C.)
