Born in Providence, R.I., Skip was a son of the late Ernest N. and Vivian Duck Wilson. He was an Army veteran and a member of Sycamore Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Britt Wilson; a daughter, Erin Leigh Wilson of Courtland ; a son, Caleb Augustus Wilson of Franklin and a brother, Sidney E. Wilson of Franklin. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in Riverside Cemetery with the Rev. Dr. Reginald Warren and the Rev. Sharon James officiating. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, and suggests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Franklin Relay for Life, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, VA 23513.
