Wilhoit, 70, father of Mrs. Spier Edwards of Boykins and Mrs. Joseph L. Sykes of Newsoms, died in Bennettsville, S.C., on Monday after a long illness. In addition to Mrs. Edwards and Mrs. Sykes he is survived by three other daughters, Mrs. Allen Morris of Woodland, N.C., Mrs. Hugh Turner of Pamlico, S.C., and Mrs. Allen Carter of Hartsville, S.C.; four sons, C.T., E.Q. and C.W. Wilhoit, Jr., all of Columbia, S.C., and R.T. Wilhoit of Florence, S.C.; and three sisters, Mrs. J.E. Topping of Roanoke, Mrs. Myrtle Graves of Charlottesville, and Mrs. Mary Lou Waddell of Philadelphia. Funeral services for Mr. Wilhoit were held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock in the Purviance Funeral Home in Boykins. Interment was in the Mt. Horeb Church Cemetery near Newsoms.
