IDA STORY WALTON

   Mrs. Ida Story Walton, 84, widow of Lew Walton of this county, died at the 
home in Newsoms of her son, Louis E. Walton, on Wednesday afternoon, December 
19, after an illness of short duration.

   Mrs. Walton was a member of the Newsoms Baptist Church and a life-long 
resident of Southampton County.

   Besides her son, Louis, she is survived by another son, Ivan Walton of 
Boykins, and by nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

   Funeral services for Mrs. Walton were conducted Thursday afternoon at 3 
o’clock at the Newsoms Baptist Church by her pastor, Rev. R.L. Chadwick, with 
interment in the Newsoms Cemetery, grandsons of the deceased acting as 
pallbearers.
