All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ EMMA FRANCES WILLIAMS Miss Emma Frances Williams, age 88, daughter of the late Edwin Williams and Mrs. Martha Ann Williams died Wednesday night, July 10, at the home of her sister, Mrs. E.G. Joyner, near Capron. Funeral services were held from the home of Mrs. Joyner Friday afternoon at 3 o’clock conducted by Rev. R.H. Marks. Burial was made in Riverside Cemetery, Courtland. The choirs of Capron and Whitehead churches sang several selections, Mrs. H.M. Purviance singing "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." Active pallbearers were Dr. J.N. Applewhite, G.A. Lankford, Geo. B. Vick, T.B. Bell, B.B. Andrews, M.D. Bryant and Millard R. Bryant. Honorary pallbearers were C.W. Parker, E. Whitfield, Chas. W. Davis, Judson Cole, Walter P. Johnson and H.B. McLemore, Jr. Miss Williams is survived by one sister, Mrs. E.G. Joyner, a brother, W.L. Williams, of Sedley and a number of nieces and nephews.
