Williams, of Capron community, died at the home of his parents Monday morning after an illness of three months. Besides his parents he is survived by two sisters, Mrs. J.B. Cox of Homeville and Mrs. F.B. Crichton of Capron; three brothers, Benn E. Williams of South Jacksonville, Fla., and Raiford and L.P. Williams Jr. of Capron and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the home near Capron by the Rev. R.H. Marks, interment being made in Capron Cemetery. Active pallbearers were: Clarence Jenkins, Edward Marks, Winfield Crichton, Edward Crichton, Bob Pope, Willie Johnson, Alton Vick and Tom Marks. George Clyde WILLIAMS, d. 29 Apr 1935, at parents' home, near Capron, age circa 26*, interred in Capron Cemetery**, 1 May 1935, "The Tidewater News" (Franklin, VA), May 3, 1935, p. 4 *His Death Certificate, #10914, gives his birthday wrong - "June 2, 1925." His age was typed "26," then altered to 25 yrs, 11 mos, & 27 days - which indicates b. 2 Jun 1909. Cemetery list gives b. 2 Jun 1908. **His parents are also buried there.
