Joseph A. Slane with Wright Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers will be: Dan Fowler, Buddy Butler, Woody Marks, Walter Young Jr., A.R. Butler IV, F. Lonnie Davis, Charlie Lupton, Lonnie Henton, Barry Burgess, Glen Faison, John Moody and Elton Raiford. Williams died Tuesday in Norfolk General Hospital. A native of Southampton County, he was the husband of Carol Warren Williams. He was owner and president of Douglas International Agricultural Equipment. He is the son of Mrs. Nell Williams Cogsdale and the late L. Lister Williams. He was a member of Franklin Presbyterian Church, Delaware Hunt Club, Virginia Farm Equipment Association and Ducks Unlimited. He attended Chowan College and the University of Richmond. Survivors include a daughter, Miss Nell Warren Williams; two sons, Hudson D. Williams Jr., and Wade Barkley Williams, all of the home; a sister Ann W. Speight of Columbia, S.C.; and a stepfather, Thomas Cogdale of Sedley. The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Franklin Presbyterian Church building fund.
