Wellons, 83, died yesterday morning of a heart attack while visiting his daughter, Mrs. M.A. Simpson in Long Beach, Calif. Wellons and his wife, Mrs. Sally Rose Wellons, who had celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary Feb. 5, flew to Long Beach last week following a visit with another daughter, Mrs. C.E. Jackson in Arlington. ****************************************************************************** LEVI T. WELLONS FRANKLIN - Levi T. Wellons, 84, a retired farmer and the husband of Mrs. Sallie Rose Wellons, died Tuesday in San Diego, Calif., while visiting a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Simpson. A lifelong resident of Sedley, he was a son of John and Mrs. Martha Hundley Wellons. He was a member of Black Creek Baptist Church. Besides his widow and Mrs. Simpson, surviving are two other daughters, Mrs. Shirley Jackson of Arlington and Mrs. L.E. Jennings of Waverly; two sons, John F. Wellons of College Park, Md., and Levi T. Wellons Jr. of Catonsville, Md.; a sister, Mrs. Eddie Butler of Franklin; six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in W.J.M. Holland and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. C.L. Gatling of Black Creek Church and the Rev. James A. Coney. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.
