LUTHER PAUL WILLIAMS

   CAPRON - Luther Paul Williams, 90*, died Tuesday at the home of his 
daughter, Mrs. F.B. Crichton.

   He was the son of the late Nathan Eldridge and Sarah Ricks Williams.

   Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Lena Griffin Williams; two daughters, 
Mrs. F.B. Crichton of Capron and Mrs. J.D. Cox of Waverly; three sons, 
Ray M. Williams of Jarratt, Ben E. Williams of Jacksonville, Fla. and 
L.P. Williams, Jr. of Stanton; one sister, Mrs. Lila Griffin of Petersburg; 
twelve grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

   A funeral service was held at the Capron Cemetery at 11 a.m. Thursday by 
the Rev. J.S. Peebles.

   Pallbearers were his grandsons, Ben E. Williams, Jr., Harrison Williams, 
Cary Williams, Gary Williams, Brownley Cox, Davis Cox, Dan Cox and Bentley 
Crichton.
