All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ LUCIUS LISTER WILLIAMS Lucius Lister Williams, 46, a farmer of the Franklin community, died Sunday morning at Raiford Memorial Hospital in Franklin. He was attending Sunday school in the Congregational Christian Church when he was stricken with a heart attack. He was the husband of Mrs. Nell Barkley Williams and the son of Stephen D. and Mattie Askew Williams. Mr. Williams was a member of the Woodmen of the World, Sedley Lodge, Sedley, Va. Surviving him besides his wife and parents are two children, Susan Ann Williams and Hudson Douglas Williams, both of Franklin; a brother, G.L. Williams of Courtland; two sisters, Mrs. J.H. Hill of Capron and Mrs. Evelyn Cabell of Norfolk and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the chapel of the W.J.M. Holland Funeral Home by the Rev. Tucker G. Humphries, pastor of the Congregational Christian Church. Burial was in Poplar Spring Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Moody, William Howell, J. Letcher Eley, Dr. E.B. Gatten, J.C. Story, Warren Councill, Dr. Darden W. Jones and Walter Luther Young. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Men’s Bible Class of the Franklin Congregational Christian Church.
