All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Mrs. Williams Dies In Local Hospital Mrs. Minnie Lee Williams, of Boykins, Va., died at a local hospital Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock after a short illness, aged 19 years. She is survived by her husband, George I. Williams, and one child, Mildred May Williams; also her perents, Mr. and Mrs. G.F. [sic; E.F.*] Dunlow, of Boykins; one sister, Miss Lillie Dunlow; four brothers, Lee, Lewis, Homer and Willie Dunlow, all of Boykins. Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at the grave near Boykins, conducted by the Rev. F.B. Huntley. Her parents, Emmett Francis & Alice (SUYES) DUNLOW, are buried unmarked in Beechwood Cemetery, Boykins. Her parents appear in the 1930 Census - Boykins Dist, Southampton Co. - on the Boykins to Hebron road (Farm 145). Minnie & divorcee George Ira m. 27 Aug 1927 in Hopewell. (#107) The M.Reg. gives her as b. in Lynchburg, & George in Mount Olive, NC. Ira 2m. Gertrude (DREW; wid/o Samuel Earl) ENGLISH. Remarried, he appears in the 1930-50 Census as Ira W. - in 1930 on Dunlow's private farm road, Boykins Dist, Southampton Co. (Farm 149). He is buried in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Rocky Mount, Nash Co., NC. Find a Grave Mem. #190961377 gives his mother a Mary JERNIGAN. Ira's parents, George W. & Mary Ester (JUSTICE) WILLIAMS, are buried in Jeffrey Cemetery, Lockhart, Caldwell Co., TX. (Find a Grave Mem. #123386347 &c.) Sam ENGLISH (1884 - 1925) is buried in Rockfish Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Wallace, Duplin Co., NC.
