She was the widow of Marvin Wharton Williams and the daughter of the late Robert Bryant and Narcissa Vann Colwell of Wallace, N.C. Mrs. Williams was a native of North Carolina and had made Franklin her home for the past 35 years. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Narcissa W. Gwaltney of Smithfield; two sons, Marvin Wharton Williams Jr. and Billy Bryant Williams, both of Franklin; seven grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. E.W. Farriow of Wallace, N.C. Funeral services were held at graveside in Poplar Spring Cemetery Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. by the Rev. Robert E. Davis, pastor of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church. Active pallbearers were George Gerkin, Roger Drake, Robert Vaughan, Richard Drewry, Charles Corbill and Walter L. Barnes. Nell Bryant (COLWELL; Mrs. Marvin W.)
