High St. died Jan. 1 in a Richmond nursing home. Mrs. Wellons, a native of Southampton County, was a member of Franklin Baptist Church and was a widow of Floyd W. Wellons, Sr. Survivors include two daughters, Edna Vick of Franklin and Virginia Wellons of Richmond; a son, Floyd W. Wellons, Jr. of Franklin; two sisters, Ruth Matthews and Peggy Dalton, and a brother, Fred Spivey, all of Richmond; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. A funeral was conducted Saturday at the Franklin Baptist Church Chapel by the Rev. Michael Clingenpeel and Ira Hudgins. Burial was in the Poplar Spring Cemetery.
