He is survived by his widow and the following children, W.W. and C.S. Williams of Norfolk, R.C. Williams of Courtland, Mrs. W.R. Lamb and Mrs. J.L. Joyner of Norfolk and Mrs. Joe Jordan of Courtland. His sister, Mrs. J.E. Rowe and his brother, Mr. Henry Williams of Ivor, also survive him. The funeral services were conducted in the Courtland Methodist Church Tuesday afternoon at three o’clock by his pastor, Rev. J.E. Brooks. Robert Nicholas WILLIAMS, farmer, Confederate veteran, b. Southampton; bu. Home Place. He served in the Southampton Greys - Co. D, 3rd Virginia Infantry, CSA. Burial site not known (Sep 2020) to the Southampton County Historical Society {SCHS} Cemetery Project. His 1st wife - Williams, Sarah E.F. [Elizabeth Frances], d. 6 Jul 1890, age 56, dt/o John A. & Mary A. Hill. (Southampton Co. D.Recs. {recopied} p. 448 [indexed 449] {orig. p. 4 #117}) He 2m. 22 Oct 1891 Anna T.
