All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ROSA TEMPERENCE JARRATT WILLIAMS Mrs. Rosa Jarratt Williams, aged 62 years, a well-known resident of the Adam’s Grove community, died at her home on Saturday morning, July 29, after an illness of many months. She was the daughter of the late Willie and Mattie Hammond Jarratt of Sussex County, and a member of the Adam’s Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Williams is survived by her husband, Oliver L. Williams of Adam’s Grove; one son, Carroll Lee Williams of Emporia; and four daughters, Mrs. Frank Grizzard of Drewryville, Mrs. Cecil Seaborn and Mrs. R.L. Harrell of Jarratt, and Mrs. I.W. Edwards of Emporia. Also by six brothers, R.E., James, and Robert Jarratt of Emporia, Jesse Jarratt of Capron, and Arpie and George Jarratt of Stony Creek; sixteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted from the Adam’s Grove Baptist Church Monday afternoon at three o’clock by the Rev. C. Bailey Jones of Drewryville, assisted by the Rev. Mr. Lyons of Emporia. The remains were interred in the family cemetery near Adam’s Grove, with the following acting as pallbearers; Elmer Williams, Leo Williams, Johnnie Jarratt, Dallie Jarratt, Waverly Jarratt, and James Jarratt.
