SHIRLEY V. WHEELER

   FRANKLIN - A funeral service for Shirley Wheeler was held at 2 p.m. 
Wednesday in Wright Funeral Home by the Rev. Diltz Payne.  Burial was in 
Poplar Spring Cemetery.

   Mrs. Wheeler died Monday in a hospital.

   A native of Woodland, N.C., she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

   Survivors include her husband, Roy Douglas Wheeler; two daughters, 
Florence W. Andre of Courtland and Tricia A. Wheeler of Carrsville; four 
sons, Hank Wheeler, Ernest Wheeler, Doug Wheeler and Tracy Wheeler, all of 
Franklin; three sisters, Ellen Roberts of Suffolk and Doris Jones and Betty 
Carpenter, both of Franklin; and two brothers, Burcher Barmer and Jimmy 
Barmer, both of Woodland.
