Womble, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Womble*, died suddenly at his home near Sedley last Sunday. Funeral services were conducted at the grave in Poplar Spring Cemetery, Franklin, Monday afternoon conducted by Rev. R.E. Brittle. Mr. Womble is survived by his wife, his stepmother, Mrs. Frances Womble; two sisters, Mrs. Edward Story of Franklin and Mrs. Ruth Joyner of Portsmouth and one brother, George Womble of Portsmouth. Active pallbearers were T.W., Charlie, Bennie and Hunter Blythe, N.C. Winstead, R.H. Joyner, J.I. Joyner and S.C. Cutchins.
