MARGARET S. McLEAN* WOMBLE 

   Mrs. Margaret McLean* Womble, 84, died in Sedley at the home of her 
daughter, Mrs. Lynn Blythe, early Tuesday morning, October 27, after 
having been in ill health for several months.

   Mrs. Womble, widow of John Thomas Womble, was a daughter of the late 
Joseph Edward and Margaret Corbitt McLean* of Accomack County.  She was 
a member of the Sedley Baptist Church.

   Besides her daughter, Mrs. Blythe, she is survived by two sons, John 
Alger Womble of Suffolk and Cecil E. Womble of Franklin; and 14 grandchildren 
and 12 great-grandchildren.

   Funeral services for Mrs. Womble were conducted in the chapel of W.J.M. 
Holland & Sons on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Ira D. Hudgins, pastor 
of the Franklin Baptist Church.  Interment was in Rosemont Cemetery, Sedley.
