FRANKLIN - James Combs Wright Sr., 61, of the 400 block of College Drive, died July 3, in his home. Mr. Wright, a native of Washington County, was president of Wright Funeral Home, Franklin. He was a Marine Corps Veteran of World War II and a Presbyterian. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Barnes Wright; three sons, James C. Wright, Jr., William B. Wright and Stephen H. Wright, all of Franklin; two sisters, Virginia W. Mason of Mount Holly, N.C. and Edith W. Ahern of Westport, Conn.; two brothers, Roger L. Wright of Memphis, Tenn., and L.H. Wright Jr. of Damascus; and two grandchildren. A graveside memorial service was conducted Monday in Poplar Spring Cemetery by the Rev. Donald E. Trump. The body was cremated. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Wright Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
