COURTLAND - A funeral for Beecher Henry (B.H.) Ward Jr., 65, of Linden Street, was conducted Sunday at Riverside Cemetery. The service was conducted by Rev. Edmund Ellis. Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, was in charge of the arrangements. Ward died Aug. 26 in a Norfolk hospital. He was a native of Harrellsville, N.C., and the husband of Mildred Scott Ward. He was a farmer and was a member of Courtland Baptist Church and Sedley Hunt Club. Other survivors include two daughters, Judith W. Wells of Hopewell and Brenda W. Bradshaw of Virginia Beach; two sons, Charles H. Ward and James H. Ward of Courtland; three sisters, Lillian W. Norvell of Colerain, N.C., Louise W. Britton of Ahoskie, N.C., and Virginia W. Goodrich of Wakefield; and five grandchildren. Beecher Henry "B.H."
